From being spotted on the side of the road to having a constant cat buddy, this kitten’s newfound companionship is all thanks to the dedicated efforts of numerous volunteers.

This heartwarming story is about a little kitten named Trooper who was found on the side of the road by a kind woman. She immediately rushed him to get help, and it was discovered that the kitten’s mother likely didn’t survive a car accident. The kitten was frail and exhausted, weighing just 348 grams (approximately 12 ounces) and estimated to be about five weeks old.

Members of the rescue community came together to save Trooper. Volunteers organized to transport him to a rescue in Montreal, where he could receive the medical attention and care he needed. A foster mom named Celine took Trooper in, and he was fed every three hours around the clock. Despite his rough start, Trooper proved to be a little fighter and gradually started eating and gaining strength.

During his time in foster care, Trooper found a feline buddy in Celine’s resident cat, Marsha. Marsha showered Trooper with love and affection, grooming him and providing him the comfort he needed. Trooper clung to Marsha and snuggled up with her, feeling safe and snug in her presence.

With the help of many volunteers and the love and care from his foster family, Trooper thrived. He put on weight, gained strength, and started playing and exploring like any happy and healthy kitten. This heartwarming tale showcases the power of community and compassion, as many people came together to save Trooper’s life and give him a chance at a happy and loving home.
