Smokey, a young and adventurous cat, had a remarkable journey that took him through three different countries within three years. He was initially born in Greece and later traveled to the United States when his first owner could no longer look after him.
Disoriented at first, the feline was able to quickly find its bearings with the help of volunteers, who pampered and fed it as soon as it arrived. It didn’t take long for Smokey ‘s guardian angels to realize that the tomcat was a big food lover. He spent most of his time in the kitchen !
Over time, Smokey grew so confident and friendly that he became the shelter’s mascot . “ Smokey is great with everyone who visits us. He’s great because he knew love and companionship before he came to us ,” the volunteers continue.
The feline even became an ambassador for Let’s Be Smart , who enjoyed welcoming all new volunteers who wanted to work for the shelter. This is how he met Vic and Loïc , 2 young French people.
