During the newborn baby’s first photoshoot, the beloved pet insists on being part of the special moments, creating endearing and heartwarming pictures for the family to cherish.

Bentley Madsen was the couple’s first “child,” but Bentley was not a human infant – he was their beloved four-legged companion. Bentley, a five-year-old Goldendoodle, joined their family in 2017 and quickly became a goofy, quirky, smart, loyal, and loving member of the household. He had distinct characteristics that defined him uniquely as Bentley, such as his complete inability to catch a ball.

When their human child, Tyler, was born in February of the previous year, he somewhat stole the show. The couple, Brando and Kelly, decided it was time to document their newborn and arranged for a photo session. Amusingly, Bentley insisted on taking part in the photo shoot as well.

At first, the couple was hesitant about introducing their new baby to their playful furry child. To ease the transition, they brought home a blanket and hat that smelled like Tyler so that Bentley could get used to the scent first. Once they returned from the hospital, they allowed Bentley to greet and sniff Tyler while also showing him love and affection.

From there, their friendship blossomed. Bentley was always interested in Tyler and frequently approached him when he cried. He became like a “baby monitor” for the family, often sensing Tyler’s distress before anyone else noticed it.

As Tyler grew, their bond became even stronger. Bentley would be nearby when Tyler rested or played with his parents. Tyler also learned how to throw food scraps for Bentley, further strengthening their friendship.
When it was time for a photo shoot to capture the newborn stage, Bentley refused to be left out. He insisted on being part of the pictures, standing next to Tyler in many of the shots. Bentley had an undeniable bond with their son.
The photo shoot took place a year ago when Tyler turned one, and the couple took a year’s worth of pictures of him, including ones for his first birthday. And, of course, Bentley was there, standing next to Tyler in the photos.
Kelly revealed that Bentley and Tyler’s adventures have only just begun, and the connection between the boy and his dog is continuously growing. She joked that Tyler’s first word might even be “Bentley.” The two are inseparable, and their bond is heartwarming and adorable.
