Today, we rescued a dog abandoned in a landfill. At first, I found it difficult to understand when he stood motionless and kept screaming. When I got closer, I was shocked to discover that its entire body had frozen. Looks like the poor dog got stuck in asphalt from somewhere and tried to escape here.
Asphalt covered almost all of his body, it was dry and hard and made the dog unable to move. It’s lucky that we discovered him, otherwise it would have had a sad ending. It was very uncomfortable and painful. I tried to run away but my legs were as hard as rocks and couldn’t move.

I easily caught him and lifted the dog out of the bushes. Oh my god, I’ve never seen anything as pitiful as this. His whole body was full of garbage, sticky and smelly. It was very hot and the tight asphalt made it difficult for him to breathe and he began to lose strength. I quickly put it in a cardboard box I found and returned to the rescue team.
First, we let the dog drink some water to cool down and wake up.

A pitiful soul, his face was filled with pain and shyness. I and a few teammates started looking for a way to rescue him from the stubborn dirt. A lot of dirty water flowed out, but it still couldn’t be washed away. We were very persistent, repeating the process over and over again.

After about 3 hours, the dog can basically move again. The comfort makes it relax and start to fall asleep after tiring days. It also regained its appetite and started eating well. Although there are still patches on the fur, it is not a concern because they will be washed off after a few baths.
The dog is doing very well now, he is so skinny that he is boneless but I believe that under the current care of the rescue team he will get well soon.
