Rescued from a pound at 12 years old, the cat wraps her arms around her person, expressing endless ‘thanks’ for the love and second chance she has found.

Freya, a beautiful 12-year-old cat, was found on the streets and brought to a pound. Despite her ordeal, she was incredibly friendly and affectionate. Best Friends Felines took notice of her situation and enlisted the help of Michelle Cummins, the owner of Henry Hottie Pet Beds, to foster Freya.

Within an hour of arriving in her foster home, Freya snuggled up to Michelle on the couch and showered her with love and purrs. Despite being found on the streets and spending time in a pound, Freya quickly settled into her new environment and brought immense joy to everyone in the household.

Michelle had recently lost her beloved dog, Stan, and was heartbroken, but Freya came into her life and provided much-needed comfort and love. Freya’s sweet and loving nature helped heal Michelle’s heart, and she quickly became an integral part of the family.

Freya turned 13, but she still exhibited kitten-like behavior, zooming around the house with bursts of energy and being incredibly affectionate. She followed Michelle around, claimed her office chair as her throne, and adored everyone, including the resident dog, Alice.

Freya became Michelle’s “velcro cat,” always wrapping her arms around her human for intense hugs and providing undivided attention when Michelle wasn’t feeling well. From the moment she arrived at the pick-up location, Michelle knew that Freya was meant to be a part of her family forever.
Freya’s loving and playful nature has brought so much love and joy to Michelle’s life, and she adores her furry companion. Freya’s story is a heartwarming reminder of how senior cats, even at the age of 12, can make a significant impact on the lives of their human companions.
