Rosé and Merlot, two adorable calico sisters, were brought to an animal shelter in North Carolina, desperately in need of rescue. They were the only surviving members of their litter, left to fend for themselves without a mother’s care.

Upon arrival at the shelter, the frail and quiet condition of the kittens, Rosé and Merlot, was concerning. Their body temperatures were low, indicating their vulnerability. Thankfully, the shelter staff acted swiftly, placing them in an incubator to provide the warmth and care they desperately required. As a result, they began to stabilize and show signs of improvement.

Throughout their journey, Merlot remained a steadfast source of comfort for her sister, Rosé. She stayed close by, offering support and companionship, which played a vital role in Rosé’s recovery. When Rosé became strong enough to latch and eat on her own, Merlot was right there beside her, reinforcing their bond and encouraging her sibling to flourish.
