A chance for a better life awaited five kittens from two different litters when they arrived at their foster home. After their mother stopped taking care of them, Fred and Barney were discovered outdoors with her. The animals Betty, Pebbles, and Bamm-Bamm came from a partner shelter.
Their foster mother Asa from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington gave them a cozy home with lots of toys and blankets for the winter. They quickly began eating like champions, running about, and engaging in physical combat before collapsing into sleep.
A local dog heard the sound of the visitors shortly after they arrived and was overjoyed.

When Kona, a dog that loved kittens, discovered the new fosters in the house, she was unable to control her joy. She has raised a lot of kittens over the years, and even the most timid ones can’t resist her affection.
She was first saved together with her own litter of puppies and finally found happiness with Asa.

A mother is a mother forever. Kona has discovered a passion for helping kittens in need since she doesn’t want her nest to remain empty. Kona believed that more was better.
Kona was more than prepared to step in and provide some motherly love even though the two litters weren’t ready to interact in person until they were given the all-clear by their doctors.

She’s only known them for a short while, but she’s already assumed the crucial responsibility of serving as Betty’s personal jungle gym. She is in paradise once more being covered in kittens.
From the minute they met, Betty and Pebbles began climbing all over her, playing with her legs, droopy ears, and constantly wagging tail. They would even take naps together.
