The birth of 15 Dalmatian puppies by Pebbles, owned by Kay Sullivan from Carmarthenshire, Wales, England, was a remarkable and adorable sight, though not quite like the 101 Dalmatians depicted in the famous Walt Disney cartoon. While Pebbles’ health was not good initially, she successfully delivered twice the average number of puppies, much to the surprise of Sullivan. The puppies were carefully cared for in the first two days as Pebbles seemed to be getting weaker.

Kay Sullivan’s little girl, Cerys, took on the task of naming the litter of puppies. It wasn’t an easy feat as there were 5 male and 10 female pups to be named. One of Cerys’ top picks was a pup she named Patch. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, the family will have to sell off the large litter of puppies.

In 1961, Walt Disney’s “101 Dalmatians” captured the hearts of audiences everywhere and became a fan favorite amongst animated films.
