A man, who once claimed not to be a cat person, has a change of heart after helping a cat from the streets, discovering the joy and love that felines can bring into his life.

A tabby cat, later named Braveman, was found sickly and lethargic on a resident’s lawn in the Bronx. He had been roaming the neighborhood, but his health started to decline. The resident’s family contacted Little Wanderers NYC, a local rescue, and with the help of SaintSpiro Cat Rescue, Braveman was taken to the vet for immediate medical attention.

Braveman, estimated to be seven years old, had multiple health issues, including respiratory infections, dental disease, and skin problems. Despite his ailments, he remained friendly and showed a strong desire for love and care. Little Wanderers NYC helped him through a lengthy recovery process, and when he was well enough, he was placed in a foster home with a couple who were new to fostering.

Initially, the foster dad claimed he would never be a cat person, but he was willing to help care for Braveman. As Braveman settled into his foster home, he quickly made an impression on the couple with his friendliness and affectionate nature. The foster dad took on the responsibility of caring for Braveman during the day, and they formed a strong bond.

Over the course of two years, Braveman thrived under their care and became an integral part of their family. They couldn’t bear to part with him, and he became an official member of their household. Braveman’s loving personality and companionship enriched the couple’s lives, and he even helped them welcome a new puppy named Kobe into the family.

Braveman, now known as Garry, enjoys a happy and pampered life with his forever family, who are devoted to giving him the love and care he deserves. He has become an essential part of their small family, strengthening their bond and filling their home with joy.
