Choosing to bring home two lonely shelter kittens, the rescuer discovers it’s the best thing ever for all involved.

Once upon a time, a kind rescuer named Ashley received a plea for help from a county shelter. They had a 7-week-old tabby kitten named Jelly with an unusual eye condition that needed special attention. Ashley decided to take Jelly into her foster home to provide the care he needed.

In the comfort of his new foster home, Jelly felt safe and quickly became an attention-seeker. With good food and care, he healed from an infection, and the eye specialist confirmed that he was healthy despite the unique appearance of his eye.

Although Jelly enjoyed the company of his human friends, it was clear that he needed a kitten friend to play with. Ashley asked the shelter if there were any other kittens like Jelly who needed companionship. They introduced her to Taro, a ginger and white kitten who was a bit shy but quickly warmed up to Ashley.

Taro, being a single kitten without littermates, was looking for a buddy to play and nap with. When Jelly and Taro met, they instantly became best friends. They played, wrestled, and explored the room together, as if they had always been littermates.

Having Jelly around helped Taro improve his eating habits, and their personalities rubbed off on each other. They became curious and more confident with each other’s company.
Jelly and Taro are now inseparable, doing everything together as a duo. They share the same bed and enjoy running, wrestling, and playing with toys side by side. With each other’s companionship, they are both happier, more playful, and full of love.
Ashley is overjoyed to see how much joy and happiness her two little buddies bring to each other’s lives. Thanks to her love and care, Jelly and Taro found the perfect friendship that turned out to be the best thing ever.
