The kittens named “Cookie and Milk” quickly captured the hearts of many when a family graciously adopted them.

When a rescue volunteer stepped in to help, she noticed that the kittens, named “Cookie and Milk,” were infested with fleas and in desperate need of a bath. “They required two flea baths and consistent combing during the first week to ensure I safely removed every single flea from their tiny bodies,” she explained.

Once they were all cleaned up and their bellies filled, the kittens snuggled together in a purr-pile and fell into a peaceful slumber. In the following weeks, the orange kitten and her four siblings not only survived but also thrived, thanks to the unwavering dedication and round-the-clock care provided by their foster family.

The kittens were given names that followed a “cookie and milk” theme, and among them, Shortbread, the only orange tabby, stood out as the most talkative one.
During nap times, Shortbread and her siblings – Oatly, Silk, Almond Breeze, and Elmhurst – would cuddle closely, wrapping their little arms and legs around each other in an adorable display of affection.
