At only one week old, little Dixie was extremely fragile, weighing a mere 140 grams, and her eyes had not yet opened. Struggling to feed on her own, Georgia, her dedicated caregiver, took matters into her own hands. She began tube-feeding Dixie, providing the nourishment and care the tiny kitten desperately needed.

During the initial two weeks in foster care, Dixie’s condition was touch-and-go, and her health remained precarious. However, throughout this challenging period, Dixie’s unwavering source of strength was her constant pursuit of affection.

At four weeks old, Dixie’s progress was evident, as she had grown to nearly 300 grams. Although she was still a bit behind in development compared to her peers, she displayed remarkable resilience and determination, making daily gains in her growth and well-being.
