Sassy, a weak and malnourished puppy, was discovered on the streets in a very poor condition. Thankfully, the Dumaguete Animal Sanctuary rescue team stepped in just in time to save her. Sassy had been living without any love or care, and her health problems were severe.

The rescue team worked tirelessly to help Sassy recover. At first, she was too weak to eat, but they managed to entice her with some chicken and provided IV treatments to strengthen her. Over time, she got better, and her health began to improve.

Throughout her recovery, Sassy faced various challenges, including collapsed veins and diarrhea caused by parasites. However, the team persisted and showed great patience, helping her gain weight and get healthy again.

After three weeks, Sassy’s transformation was incredible. She became energetic and playful, even chasing away other dogs and people she didn’t recognize. Her newfound confidence earned her a special spot on the “princess rug” at the shelter.

Sassy’s first adventure outside without a leash was a success, and the wonderful news was announced that she would be adopted by the founder of the rescue team. This happy ending marks the beginning of a beautiful new life for Sassy, who once was on the brink of death.
