Amidst tangled wires, a resilient cleft lip kitten is found, inspiring hope and warmth in the hearts of its rescuers.

In Los Angeles, a tiny stray kitten with a cleft lip was discovered hiding under electrical wires. Due to his birth defect, he faced challenges in feeding properly, resulting in him weighing only 400g instead of the usual 800g for his age. Thankfully, the Alley Cat Rescue association stepped in to care for him.

Despite his time on the streets, the kitten, named Frito, quickly developed a strong attachment to humans. He found comfort in snuggling under his foster mom’s shirt and sought affection and cuddles.

Because of his cleft lip, Frito needed encouragement and special attention during feeding to help him gain weight. The shelter members were dedicated to his care, ensuring he received the nourishment he needed.
As Frito regained strength, he was introduced to an adult cat named Bubblegum for socialization. Bubblegum became Frito’s “babysitter,” displaying remarkable patience as the young kitten playfully interacted with him. The two formed a heartwarming bond, enjoying moments of playfulness and tenderness together.
In due time, Frito will be ready to interact with other kittens his age, but for now, he is content and joyful with all the love and care he receives from his foster family. The Alley Cat Rescue association continues to provide Frito with the support and affection he needs to thrive.
