With the help of kind folks, the cat embraces a new life indoors, and within a few days, she surprises them by having kittens in the safety of their room, a heartwarming tale of trust and love.

Calla Lilly, a pregnant cat, was spotted roaming around a cat colony by herself. Although she was friendly with the person who had been feeding her, she was hesitant with strangers. Mary Chromek, an animal rescuer at Foster Purrs, noticed Calla Lilly and attempted to rescue her, but the clever cat evaded humane traps. Eventually, with the help of the feeder, they managed to get her safely indoors.

In her foster home, Calla Lilly was happy and relaxed. Within a few days, she gave birth to seven healthy kittens in the comfort of a loving home. Despite being a great mama, Mary was glad that this would be Calla Lilly’s last litter, as she had already been through multiple pregnancies.

With seven kittens to care for, Calla Lilly received help to keep up with their demands. Amaryllis, the runt of the litter, received supplemental feedings to catch up with her siblings. Geranium, one of the kittens, was the biggest and a mama’s boy who loved cuddling with his mom.

All seven kittens were thriving and growing rapidly. They became more curious and playful, exploring their surroundings with newfound strength. With a loving foster home, these kittens and their mom will never have to experience life on the streets.

Calla Lilly was finally able to enjoy some me-time and live the life she had always deserved, knowing that her kittens were safe. The kittens will have the opportunity to grow up in a loving environment and find forever homes where they will be cherished.
