The cat, who once waited outside for someone to notice her, now follows people around, greeting them with adorable bleps, showcasing her newfound affection and happiness in her loving home.

About three months ago, a tabby cat named Abbey was spotted sitting outside a residence, looking rough and with a swollen arm. A Good Samaritan contacted PuppyKittyNYCity, a local animal rescue, and they quickly came to her rescue. After being taken in, Abbey was found to have a malignant bone tumor in her swollen arm, which had to be amputated. Despite her surgery and spay, Abbey bounced back quickly and became incredibly friendly and affectionate.

Abbey was placed in the care of Laura, a foster for PuppyKittyNYCity, where she continued to heal and recover. Even with missing a limb and wearing a cone, Abbey was unstoppable. She followed Laura around the house, snuggling and purring to show her appreciation. Nothing could stop her from jumping on the couch to be close to her foster mom, and she adapted well to walking as a tripod.

Abbey’s loving and caring nature extended to other animals too. When Laura brought home foster kittens that needed grooming, Abbey stepped in and started grooming them one by one, making sure they were clean and well-cared for. She even offered her assistance in cleaning and grooming them regularly.

Despite her physical difference, Abbey never seemed to realize she was any different from other cats. She ran, climbed, and jumped around with ease, showing that she was just as capable as any four-legged feline. Abbey’s affectionate and playful personality endeared her to everyone she met.

Having made a full recovery, Abbey is now ready to find her forever home. Despite her amputation, Abbey’s love knows no bounds, and she has so much affection to give. Abbey’s friendly and loving nature makes her the perfect companion for anyone looking to add a sweet and spirited cat to their family.
