Despite a broken leg, the courageous cat displayed determination by dragging itself toward rescue staff, seeking their aid and support.

One day, the volunteers of “Murkosha” came across a cat named Bif by accident. Initially, they were planning to catch another street cat with an injury, but instead, they found Bif, a malnourished teenage cat dragging a broken paw behind him. He had injured his paw when he fell from a tree while sleeping on the streets.

It seemed that Bif had crawled into a basement in shock and suffered in pain for at least a week before being noticed by the volunteers. He was scared and wild, and even the first examination by a doctor had to be carried out under gas anesthesia due to his panic attacks.

Alina, Bif’s caretaker, realized that he needed special attention and decided to take him home. She started taking him to doctors and engaged in his rehabilitation. Several times a day, she gave him massages to prevent muscle atrophy in his operated paw. Unfortunately, the nerve in his paw never recovered, and it became paralyzed, leading to the need for amputation.

Bif’s rehabilitation after the amputation was surprisingly smoother, and he managed to move confidently on three limbs within a week. However, socialization was more challenging as he was incredibly afraid of people. Alina dedicated six months of her free time to socializing Bif. Her home team of cats played a crucial role in his adaptation, and thanks to them, he gradually got used to home life.

Now, Bif is a full member of a family of five cats and has become an essential part of their owner’s life. Despite his amputated paw, he lives like any other cat – playing with his friends, misbehaving, and having fun. He found a loving home and a caring owner who couldn’t bear to part with him.
